Micky & Davy's first visit to Disneyland since "Dolenz, Jones, Boyce, & Hart" in the mid-70s was definitely one to remember.  For three days straight, they played two shows each day.  I attended the first show of their second day at Disney's California Adventure and was awestruck with their performance and the amount of people that gathered to see them.  Considering the stage/outdoor theatre they were playing at only held 400-500 people, thousands lined up hours before the show and were forced to either wait in line for 2 more hours for the next show, or to find a spot outside of the theatre to watch. The show was only about an hour long and started off with a noticeably shorter intro by the band.  Micky & Davy ran on stage in high spirits and were all smiles, as was the band.  I have never seen them or any musical act work so well together before.  As always, "Last Train to Clarksville" was their opening song and "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You" followed.  Next was a song Micky said was written by "someone who wrote some of the best stuff we ever did... Mike Nesmith." That was "The Girl I Knew Somewhere," which featured both Micky & Davy on guitar.  Directly after, Micky ran behind the drum set and raised his arms.  The crowd responded with a loud roar and Davy said "You mean all he has to do is raise his arms and you clap?!?" a line usually recited by Peter.  "It's Nice To Be With You" followed, as did "Goin' Down" before Davy said they were going to do a song Micky never heard before, which was "Happy Birthday Micky Mouse."  For this song, the whole band (including Davy) put on mouse ears and when they were done, Micky came back on stage saying, "That was so cool!  It's Mickey's Birthday today?"  Then Davy responded "Everyday is Mickey's birthday!"  But, Micky got a little jealous & said "There's only room enough for one Micky!" Then, they got talking about how Micky had to sing the Monkees Theme Song in 6 or 8 different languages in the 60s, and that he still remembers them to this day.  As usual, Davy didn't believe him and dared Micky to sing it in French, Spanish, & Italian, which he did.  After the foreign theme songs, Davy told Micky there was a special guest for him, as his sister, Coco, walked onstage.  Micky acted totally surprised to see Coco (though he knew she was there) and they sang two songs together:  "Bye, Bye Blackbird" & "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy."  As Micky & Coco walked offstage, Davy came back out to sing his famous "Brady Bunch" song "Girl."  For this song, Davy made his way off the stage and into the audience.  The crowd went wild!  Everybody was jumping out of their seats to get a picture with him and right before he ended the song and went back to the stage, one lady ran up and pinched him right in the back end!  He must have jumped three feet in the air and his more-than-surprised face was priceless!  Continuing on, "Pleasant Valley Sunday," "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone," & "Daydream Believer" followed.  It seemed like the whole park was singing along with them.  After "DDB," they said "Thank you everybody" and started acting like that was it before someone yelled "I'm A Believer!!!"  Micky & Davy looked at each other, confused, and asked "Did we forget one?"  Then, the song's trademark intro began as the Monkees' #1 selling single closed another great show buy the guys and they're band.  To top it off, the park's sound system was the best one I've ever heard at any concert.  Everything was top notch.  Even though it seems like they do the same songs & jokes every time, you can't help but laugh.  And they always find a way fit something new in.
